Discernment Weekend FAQs

If you have further questions that are not answered here, reach out to Amylia Bult at amyliab@netusa.org.

Do I have to attend a Discernment Weekend?

Yes. The weekend is designed for both your discernment, getting to know us and about life as a NET Missionary, as well as for us to get to know you! During the weekend you’ll learn more about NET’s history, prayer life, and lifestyle, as well as participate in small group discussions with other applicants, hear large group presentations to get all your questions answered, and more.

Do I have to participate in the whole weekend?

Yes, our time together is relatively short (less than 36 hours). It is important that you be present for the entire weekend to join in all discussions, presentations, and times of fellowship.

What if I don’t live in the United States?

Not a problem. Our recruiting team can discuss options for you to interview outside of our normal in-person Discernment Weekends.

Will I find out if I am accepted to NET on the weekend?

NET will call or email you about two weeks after the interview weekend about your acceptance.
