Meet the 2007-2008 NET Team 1!

	Team Update: May 6 - 9 "To be a witness does not consist in engaging in propaganda... but to be a living mystery. It means to live in such a way  that one's life would not make sense if God did not exist."  ~Cardinal Suhard This week has been filled with packing, cleaning and a lot of goodbyes. But as we leave we know that it's not really 'goodbye' but  'til we meet again' whether here on earth or in heaven. All we really can say is Thank You all for everything, this year has been amazing. We love you!!! Please pray for all of the Young Adults that are going to be serving with NET this upcoming year. May the peace of Christ be with you all. Team 1 Profiles
	Claudia Munoz is a 22 year old small town desert girl. She has three brothers and one sister and is the youngest. Apple Valley, CA is where she calls home. Claudia has her Associates in Fine Arts and Liberal Arts, as well as a year and a half left to receive her BFA – Bachelor in Fine Arts from CSULB. Painting, taking pictures, kickboxing, fencing and all indoor/outdoor activities are just some of the things she loves, along with living each day to the fullest for the Lord! Danielle Gallo is 22 and comes to us from the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. She is serving on the parish team as team leader and greeter. Before coming to NET she graduated from the Catholic University of America in May, with a double degree in Psychology and English. She misses her family and friends dearly, but is very excited to be part of NET, the mission, and God’s perfect plan. Emily Dufour is an 18-year-old from Salem, NH. In June, she graduated from Holy Family Academy High School last year and worked for Windham Professionals Inc. over the summer. She loves to sing, play the guitar and piano, Irish Step Dance, basketball and snowboarding. In spite of missing her mom, dad, 3 siblings and boyfriend a lot, she is taking refuge in the confidence that NET is her true vocation this year; and looks forward to the great reunion in heaven! Amanda Beckman is a 21-year-old; who is so excited to be serving our Lord with NET. She comes to us from Anaheim, California; where she grew up the 3rd oldest of 11 kids. Growing up in a big family is one of the many blessings that the Lord has bestowed on her. After graduating high school, she went to a community college where she earned her Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts. Amanda loves to read, sing, dance, serve, and have fun whle making a fool of herself for the Lord. Tries to live each of her days to the fullest, knowing, like her dad tells her, “it is a GREAT day to be alive!” Angelle Cupit is from LaPlace, Louisiana and is the middle of seven children. She is 20 years old and will be turning 21 on the road (Feb. 13 woot woot!). This is currently her second year of NET and before coming to serve completed one year of college at Eastern Kentucky University. She loves pretty much everything: the Blessed Virgin, saints, the Bible, books in general, and laughing. One of her favorite things about NET life is team prayer! Her dream in life is to have a FOOD FIGHT! Chris Dowling is an 18 year old graduate from Granbury High School, outside of Fort Worth, TX. Chris has three older sisters and six nieces and nephews. He is a native Texan and loves his family and his state.  After serving on NET, Chris plans on attending the University of Dallas in Dallas, TX where he will study Theology, Psychology, and Spanish. Chris has a crazy personality and is known for always staying active and never slowing down. He loves soccer and hopes to be a soccer coach and/or youth minister.  Freddy Perez is 21 years old and from San Angelo, TX. After graduating in 2004 from Lake View high school, he went to college at Angelo State University. He has been working with youth since 2005, serving at an urban outreach (House of faith for the unchruched) and Saint Mary’s (his parish) where he assisted with the youth ministry. He is discerning the call of priesthood and Holy orders, but is set on doing the will of God. Freddy enjoys hip-hop culture, poetic flow, rock music, and is a graffiti artist. Freddy loves his Family and Church community and often says MMMMMM when he prays.=) Dan Purkapile is a 20 year old from Marshfield, WI. He graduated from Columbus Catholic High School in 2006 and then went to college at Southeast Tech in Red Wing, MN to study Guitar Construction and Repair. He has been playing guitar for 5 years and plays two of his own hand-made guitars. Dan also enjoys skateboarding, snowboarding, and cruising the highways on his motorcycle. He is serving as the Team 1 male leader this year. Joshua Dowling is a 19 year old young man.  He was born in Odessa, Texas and his parents decided to move to Florida after he was born. They lived in a small town called Zephyrhills for 18 years.  He graduated from Zephyrhills High School in 2006, and attended one year of college at Saint Leo University. He was pursuing a bachelor degree in Theology. During the summer he felt a call to join NET and he is now serving the Lord in many ways in Faribault for the year. Josh enjoys just about everything under the sun.
