Team 9 Profiles

Theresa Beigel is 18, from Steubenville, OH.  She comes from a homeschooled family of eight children.  Theresa just finished her freshman year at Franciscan University of Steubenville, where she was studying English.  She loves music, reading, baking and playing sports.  Indoor soccer is Theresa's sport of choice along with flag football and ultimate frisbee.  On retreats, her favorite parts are drama's and leading small groups.  She looks forward to an amazing year with NET, especially for the chance to grow with the women in her sisterhood.  On her team, Theresa is in charge of the supplies, recording important details in team life and also serves in the NET Center kitchen.

Craig Irwin is 23, from Toledo, OH and is serving Team 9 as the van maintenance person and as the entertainment director.  He is the oldest of three with one younger sister and one younger brother.  He just graduated from the University of Dayton with a BA in Religious Studies.  With that he hopes to start a career in youth ministry.  Craig's favorite part of NET so far has been meeting so many amazing young adults that are so on fire with their faith.  Craig is extremely excited to go around and meet hundreds of young people and share his faith with them.

Michelle Quinn is 19 from Onalaska, WI and is serving Team 9 as the finance person and recruiter.  She has a brother working as an EMT in Minneapolis and parents and a sister back home.  It is not unusual for her to burst out into song and she wishes life could be a musical.  Her favorite part about NET life is getting to know her teammates on a deep level and meeting so many young people that are seeking the Truth.

Hector Bautista is 18, born and raised in Las Vegas, NV.  He serves Team 9 as the sacristan and working in the kitchen.  Although he was hesitant at the idea of leaving his parents, siblings and girlfriend, Hector looks onward to evangelizing young dudes and dudettes!  A member of the high school class of 2007, he plans on attending college but is unsure where.  In December Hector will become a Godfather for his best friend's baby.  Pizza is not his favorite food and Hector loves Jesus!

Raquel Gutierrez, 22, from Riverbank, CA, is the daughter of Joaquin and Digna Gutierrez.  She is the youngest of six siblings, and has six beautiful nieces and two wonderful nephews.  Raquel graduated in May 2007 from California State University, Stanislaus with a BA in Psychology.  She is serving Team 9 as the statistics keeper and development assistant.  Raquel misses her family and friends but is having an experience of a lifetime!

Ethan Kelly is 23 from Brunswick, Maine.  He has two sisters.  Ethan serves Team 9 as the recruiter and host.  This is his second year serving with NET and he hopes to have another great year!

Allie Egan is 20 from Katy, TX and is serving as the female leader for the Home Team.  She has finished her sophomore year at the University of North Texas studying drawing and painting.  Although she is apprehensive about the cold northern weather, she is excited to finally experience four actual seasons.  Allie misses her three sisters and three brothers back home, but could not be happier with her team!  Women's sessions and sisterhood has been a huge blessing in Allie's experience so far and she can't wait to see what else God has in store for her this year!

Kevin McCaffrey was born on November 16, 1988 and is 18 years old.  He is the oldest of four and has three younger sisters.  Southern California is where Kevin grew up and graduated from high school this past May.  He's come to NET ready to deepen his spiritual life.  Trailer packer and sound manager are the ways that Kevin serves his team.  Some hobbies and passions of his include listening to music, playing the drums, and making people laugh.  After NET he plans on either going to college or entering the seminary.

Nolan Gutierrez is 18 and was born and raised in Arlington, TX.  He comes from the parish of St. Vincent DePaul and has one younger brother.  Nolan is stoked to be on the Home Team and can not wait to share this year with his brothers and sisters on the team.  Some hopes that he has for the year include building a great faith life and allowing some of the retreatants he ministers to, to be touched by God.  Music leader is his team role and he has been playing guitar for six years.

Briana Dorren is 17 and grew up in Wiggins, CO.  She comes from a family where she is the oldest of eight, with five brothers and two sisters, and a mom and dad that she misses very much! Homeschooled her entire life, Briana just graduated from high school this past spring.  Deepening her faith and strengthen her relationship with Christ before starting college or a career are her reasons for volunteering with NET. She is the greeter and retreat setup person, and sound. Volleyball, photography, and writing are some of the things Briana enjoys and after NET she plans on attending St Thomas University for English/Journalism.  Her favorite thing about road life is the host homes that she has gotten to meet and experience their hospitality.

Nick Jacobson is 20 and the son of Terry and Sara Jacobsen. He grew up in Westminster, MD and recently moved to Wilmington, NC. Before NET, Nick attended Franciscan University of Steubenville where he was studying Accounting. He plans on returning to FUS after the NET year is complete. He is the male team leader and enjoys basketball, coffee, skiing, the beach, and "just kicking it old school with his homies."

Jacquie Lustig is proud to be the Idaho representative on Team 9.  She is 19 and from Cottonwood, ID.  Serving as the drama leader and hostess, Jacquie loves people!  As she's quick to let everyone know, she loves her home and family which includes two brothers, a sister and her parents.  She graduated from high school this past year and is addicted to ice cream and Jesus (but not in that order).  So far she loves the NET lifestyle, most especially the dramas and the chance to speak about her passion for her faith to so many young people!
