• Financial Support – Please consider offering NET your financial support. NET is a non-profit lay youth ministry. The NET teams serve in over 60 dioceses across the United States, but NET is not a diocesan-funded program. Charitable gifts make up close to 70% of NET’s annual revenue and are vital to NET’s continuation each year.
• Prayer Support – Please keep the NET teams, NET staff and the young people on retreat in your regular prayer. It is God’s grace that allows us to bring the hope of Jesus Christ to young people. Your prayers make a difference!
• Spread the Word – NET has been called “one of the best kept secrets in the Church” by Archbishop Harry Flynn. You can help NET in its ministry simply by talking to people about the work of the NET teams and promoting NET in your area. If you know a young man or woman, age 18-28, with an active faith and love for Christ and the Church, tell them about NET. By encouraging them to apply, you will not only support a year of service for them, but put them on a path of a lifetime of service to the Church—90% of NET team members continue in active ministry after their year on the road, and 15% go on to pursue a religious vocation.
• Additional Info – In addition, with the completion of its national training center, NET is looking to the future. By expanding its training programs, NET hopes to double or triple the number of young adults who are trained each year to share the Gospel with youth. Three new programs are currently being developed:
Discipleship and Evangelization Program A intensive nine day training and formation program for young adults, ages 17-24, designed to teach the “how-to’s” of incorporating faith into everyday life and effectively sharing one’s faith with others.
Youth Ministry Leadership Training Day, weekend, and weeklong conferences aimed at strengthening and equipping leaders actively engaged in youth evangelization.
Alumni in Mission A program to mobilize and engage NET alumni and friends in short-term mission and service projects, utilizing the skills and experience they have gained serving with NET to further the Church’s work of evangelization.
